Painted from life 'en plein air', on Summer Solstice 2025 in the gardens of Dunsink Observatory in Dublin. It was a truly magical day, full of sun and warmth. These roses represent how I felt about that day in particular. Their yellow-golden tone almost glowed in the heat of the longest day of the year. They looked equally beautiful but dramatic as they emerged from the dark green rose bush, partially hidden in shade.
