Poetto Salt House portrays a disused salt-works building standing alone along Via Poetto, opposite the Molentargius flamingo park in Cagliari. Once part of Sardinia’s thriving salt industry, the structure now sits silent and abandoned under the intense summer sky. I was drawn to its stark geometry and stillness, where traces of human activity remain only in the bus stop at its side. The painting reflects on memory, abandonment, and the quiet persistence of place.

I am always drawn to rooftops for the way their forms connect and create patterns that are similar but never identical. From above, the city offers a space for curiosity. I used layers to explore transparency and the hidden connections of our urban landscape.
