This is one of my more recent series of paintings exploring and observing birds in their habitats. I am also focusing on reflection in water which I want to capture from our many beauitful rivers and lakes, especially around the wicklow area.

This painting is a view that takes in the wider expanse of the topography of the land around Sugarloaf mountain from the top of Little Sugarloaf. Looking down gives me a sense of nostalgia for my Grandmother who grew up on a little farm on the Red Lane that goes around the left-hand side of the mountain.
