Machnaimh Samhraidh, Gleann Dá Loch - This painting of the lower lake in Glendalough captures the valley in all it's beauty on a clear Summers day. The distinctive bottle shaped hill on the right with it's rustic tones and the more structured cliffs on the left create such a wonderful backdrop to the still lake. I felt lucky to capture the light and tones on such a rare perfectly clear day in Glendalough, with the reflection in the lake enhancing the beauty of the landscape.
