"In drawing what matters more is not what one sees as much as what one wants to show (Ingres)." I came to realise that what fascinates me is the tension between what one wants to show or communicate and the desire of self-expression to oneself, as an analogy of how we relate to others. The tension between the craft of painting and the freedom one needs to give oneself to express an inner sentiment.
